My name is Geoffrey from Uganda. I would like to ask if I can apply by myself for a visa on arrival without using an agent. I am a businessman who wishes to start doing business in your country. Since there is no Vietnam Embassy in Uganda and I am looking at cutting costs for the agent.

According to the Vietnam immigration policy indicated in the Ordinance on Entry, Exit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam (No. 24/2000/PL- UBTVQH 10 of April 28,2000), Chapter III, Article 6, Vietnam visa on arrival must be organized by an international travel enterprises of Vietnam and approved by the Vietnam Immigration Department. As the result, the applicants can not apply for a visa on arrival directly but they need an authorized visa agency to do that.
