Question
I have a 3 months single entry visa which is valid from September 30, 2016 until December 30, 2016. I was in Vietnam from September 30, 2016 to October 15, 2016 but I have to go back to New Zealand for my friend’s funeral. Now I want to come back to Vietnam on October 24, 2016. Can I do that with my current visa or I need to apply for a new one?

As you know, single entry visa will give the travelers a permission to travel Vietnam only 1 time. Once you leave the country, the visa will be automatically expired even the date of expiry stated in the letter of approval has not arrived yet.
In this case, you will need to apply for another visa to return to Vietnam and 3 months single entry visa is recommended.
