Vietnamese New Year Festival (Tet) is considered the biggest and most popular festival of the year in Vietnam. It is the occasion for Vietnamese to express their respect and remembrance for their ancestors as well as welcoming the new year with their beloved family members. The Tet holiday 2017 will start from 26 January 2017 to 1 February 2017. During that time, Vietnamese visit their relatives and temples, forgetting about the troubles of the past year and hoping for a better upcoming year.
As the Immigration Department will be closed during Tet holiday, those who decide to travel to Vietnam on Tet holiday should apply for Vietnam visa on arrival in advance, better before 24 January 2017. The Immigration office at the airport is still open, so as long as you have visa approval letter, you’ll get your visa stamp at the airport without any problem.
For those who forget to apply for visa approval letter in advance and need an emergency Vietnam visa during Tet holiday, please make an online visa application and select the ‘OVERTIME SERVICE’ in the application form. We would try to help you get a visa approval letter within 8 hours to 1 day after payment completion time.
Wish you all the best and happy new year!
